How Potiphar’s wife differ from Green Knight’s wife?
Their actions of indecency and their temptation of the protagonists of the stories were motivated by two different reasons. The wife of Potiphar was known for her corrupted reputation; her actions were propelled by her own desires. On the other hand, the wife of the Green Knight was obliged to her mission of testing the chivalry of Sir Gawain, so her actions were justified. Although the manners were stimulated by different principles, they both give a sense of disgust; hence, the author of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight was simply portraying and reflecting the problems of adultery found in the Bible.

The Sinful Pressures
The simple acts of indulgences and gluttonies were considered as unrighteous and wrongful during the Medieval Period. Ranging from expensive spices, juicy meats, jewelry, bible of gold, the pressures brought by the listed items could be a great impediment of the path to heaven. The ones with high dignity and supreme conscience would live beyond the society. They would isolate themselves from the sinful and lustful pressures. Everyone respected the recluses, because they were not lured by the temptations of the devil.

In my opinion, I believed the churches were over exaggerating the matters at hand. The luxury simply represented a person’s social rank and authority. The clergyman and the churches were all decorated with precious stones, so their judgments and condemnations were acts of hypocrisy. It was people’s freedom to decide what kind of life they wanted to live, if they are wealthy enough.

The Worst Job
In my opinion, the worst job of the Medieval Ages is the Tread Mill Worker. Although the job did not include any constant disgust, such as, the Leech collector, Fuller, Knight Servant, but the job exposed the worker to a perpetual threat. The workers often tread on mills that are located high on churches. A man with fine vision will tremble while they are treading. The tread mill did lead science to another level, it included the basic elements of the cranes that are used for building constructions. A normal person will have acrophobia later in his life for taking this job. Therefore, the best operator for this program will be the blind people. Although they felt fatigue, they would not have to battle against inner fears. It should be the worst job because the job is extremely dangerous. The materials of the time wasn’t durable, so the treadmill could fall apart anytime. It was like a volatile bomb waiting to explode, whereupon taking the trapped trekking man while it tumbled.
