Kennings

Kennings:
Kenning are metaphoric words that compounded multiple figurative words to define a more literary and vernacular word. Kenning was originated from Norse and Anglo-Saxon Poetry. The writers defined the words in obscure enigmas, which was meant to give the word a sense of vitality. Kenning was known as the essence of British Literature. The following paragraph will include some Kennings of my own creation.
Teachers are the Knowledge Provider. They gave the fundamental and advanced knowledge to the students. Bus drivers are Public Contributor of abundance. They made a considerable quantity of people’s life easier but received little in return. A computer is an Infinite Data, because there is so much we could do with it that we could never fully utilize its function. Love is a form of Sweetening Sorrow, the eternal longing for the union with the other half could easily convert sweetness into sorrowfulness. Bombs are like Imminent Aerial Destroyer, because the explosives that are carried in the speed of light could level buildings to the ground in a split second.

  1. TOAST score (see Mr. Webb's blog): 11/12

    T: 3/3.
O: 3/3. Even though I wanted them in a list (see below), I like how much description you put with them.
A: 2/3. Really preferred them in a list, but this was ok.
S: 0/0. (None required for this assignment.)
    T: 3/3.
